Make California the 28th state in America to require CPR as a graduation requirement

Finally, a California Bill to require CPR Instruction as a graduation requirement. This is huge! AB1719 - press release and first draft of bill will require state-wide CPR instruction beginning in the 2017-18 school year.

27 other states already require CPR instruction for graduation.

California should be next.

However, it will require everyone's help.

Contact your local State Senator and Assembly member and request that he/she support this bill to teach our kids a life saving skill. Not sure who your elected official is? Follow this link to locate them: http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/yourleg.html

Getting this bill out of committee and on to the floor for a vote will be a monumental task. The best way to do it is for thousands of constituents to contact their State Senate and Assembly members and demand they support this bill. Let them know you are watching and will remember their vote come election day.

Let's do this and help make California the 28th state in America to require CPR as a graduation requirement.
